Crowdy Hall is located 3 miles south of the village of Sedgefield.

Our bespoke off-grid cabins are located in several secluded pockets of land, enjoying uninterrupted views and peace and quiet.

We are less than 5 miles from the expansive lake, gardens and woodland of Hardwick Park and the picturesque village of Sedgefield.

Our site is also a great base for exploring:

• The stunning Durham Heritage coastline. We recommend heading over to Crimdon Dene Beach, found 30 min drive away. Park for free at the Dunes Cafe.
• Beamish Working Museum: a world famous open air museum, telling the story of life in North East England during the 1820s, 1900s, 1940s and 1950s.
• The City of Durham: a beautiful medieval city, just 20 min drive away, featuring the world’s first UNESCO heritage site: Durham Cathedral.
• Barnard Castle: a Grade 1 listed medieval castle ruin.
• Bowes Museum: an outstanding collection of art, fashion and design including paintings by Goya and El Greco, housed in a beautiful French-style public museum set in gardens and parkland.
• Finchale Priory: an extensive free-entry ruins of a 13th-century priory, originally founded around 1196. All are around a 35 min drive away.

Crowdy Hall is a short drive away from the A1, around 40 mins drive south from Newcastle and 25 mins from Durham. The site is 20 mins drive north from Darlington, the nearest mainline railway station.
